A departure from the daily grind. The conical design of the burrs and specially engineered motor generate less heat and friction during the grinding process, which preserves flavor and aroma. The slower grinding minimizes static build-up.

There are also 16 precision settings—from very coarse for French press brewing to extra fine for espresso or Turkish coffee. Its heavy-duty zinc housing is durable, and easy on the eyes.

I've gone through a lot of coffee grinders. The Capresso Infinity has outlasted everything that’s come before it. It has the features that are critical to a coffee grinder: conical burrs that are sharp and made of quality steel, a step-down gearing system to slow the grind (a fast grind heats the coffee, vaporizing delicate aromatic oils — not good) and short, straight path from the burrs to the ground-coffee bin. Most important, it offers the most consistent, uniform particle size of any grinder I've tried this side of $500 (and some from the other side of that lofty sum.)
