The recipe for this delectable toffee remained a secret for almost 25 years. Betty Burns made it once a year for the holidays, and gave it to friends and family (some of whom hid it from their spouses.) Just before she died, she passed her secrets on: Take a sweet, buttery crunch. Stir in luscious almonds. Add melt-in-your-mouth, semi-sweet dark chocolate. Enjoy!
